The Black Hole
By Paige

It was late at night I was sleeping… when I saw two glistening lights rising above me. I didn’t know what was happening I sat there bewildered and heard one of the lights whisper to the other Is he the one?
I looked up and tried to speak to one of them. But, nothing came out. I finally gathered enough courage to speak to them.
“Hello? Who are you?”
“We are your friends,” they both said simultaneously.
“How are you my friends? I don’t even know you,” I said back.
“We are your friends, don’t you remember us? We are the ones who keep turning up in your dreams,” they whispered.
“But how can you be here if you are in my dreams?” I questioned.
“Good Bye…..” The glistening lights said.
“But,” I said
It was too late. The mysterious glistening lights had already mystified into the air leaving only a speck of yellow dust on the carpet.

The next day I woke up wondering if it was just a dream. I looked on the floor. The same glistening yellow piece of dust was right there on the floor. I stood there in shock. It did happen.
At breakfast I tried to tell my family about last night. They didn’t believe me.
“Wow. Archie’s done it again,” said my older sister Amy.
“It's true! They were there!” I said trying to defend myself.
I can’t believe it. Whenever I tell the truth no one believes me. Whenever I lie no one believes me.

At school I told my friends. It was like breakfast all over again.
“Really so did the monster under your bed come out too?” said the bully who went by the name Bone. “Archie’s afraid of monsters!”

At lunch I opened up my lunch box and looked in. There sat my mom’s special double chocolate cake. The only sad thing is that I had no appetite for it.

That night I went home and sat in my bed anxious to see them again. I tried my hardest to stay awake but I somehow drifted off.
“Ssshh!” said a familiar voice.
At that moment I knew they had come again.
“Please tell me who you are,” I said to them.
“We are your friends,” they said.
“I know that but who are you?” I questioned.
“We are from the other universe. We have been ordered by the land master to get the One,” one answered.
“That is where you come from."
"I want to know who you are or I’ll call the cops.”
“Okay. I am Nariella,”
“And I am Aydron,”
“Nice to finally meet you,” I said. “Wait what do you guys need me for?”
“W-we need you to come to space and find the lost black hole,” Nariella said nervously.
“Why?”
“We need our home to be safe again. Well… you see our universe- the star universe… used to be able to travel anywhere in the blink of an eye. Then that day when the giant black hole struck our planet it ruined everything. It hit all of our “travel tubes” so we can only travel by zap mobiles which are tiny little cars that are really rare,” said Nariella.
“Okay, I’ll do it,” I said.

We boarded the zap mobile and went off. I wonder what my mother would think of this.
On the way there I looked out the window. It was beautiful, I could see all the planets and the stars glistened in the dark night sky. ….

“We’re here!” They said.
“Huh!” I gasped since their loud voices had woken me up. “Wow. It’s beautiful.” I had to sit there for a few minutes to be able to see all of its beauty. Everyone there sort of looked like me- well not me right now-just like me in different ages. It was sort of like I belonged there. I was scared but at the same time I felt warm and welcome. It was weird.
“I don’t see anything wrong with this place, why’d you bring me here to help?” I asked.
“Wait a second,” said Nariella and Aydron.
They somehow morphed into another me! I was starting to get scared.
“Why do you all look like me?!” I cried.
“We can’t tell you that,” they said.
